Artistic Alphabet Mafia presents

Puppetea : a 2 year anniversary of silliness

Come join us for the artistic alphabet mafia’s 2 year anniversary that will be our last queer crafting potluck we do as an org that will feature puppets, tea, and more!

Entry Cost / Free Ticket Promo Code:

Tickets are free with an optional donation to help compensate performers and cover event supplies. Rsvping and updating your rsvp accordingly is still highly appreciated to have an accurate headcount for the event.

Event will be held from 2:30-6pm at comfort station on April 19th

Event schedule and space layout

The event will be held at Comfort station in Logan Square

Indoor area will be for tea serving/potluck dishes

Outdoors will be where the crafting, eating, puppet preformances, and other craft stations will be


The Venue / Accessibility:

Comfort station is an ADA accessible venue with a gender neutral wheelchair accessible bathroom with flat terrain surrounding the gallery


A note: those registering for and attending this event may have their photo/video taken for our socials and future content. If you wish to opt out of this, please notify an organizer at check-in.

Age requirements.

This will be an 18 plus event unless you are attending with a parent or guardian . With that being said we still encourage queer youth to attend and most activities will be accessible to younger audiences and no alcohol will be present on site.

COVID-19 precautions:

Masks will be required indoors when in the gallery area and an hepa air filter will be present indoors

Please note because because this is a food focused event unmasking will be allowed outdoors and because comfort station is public space we cannot prevent unmasked people from participating

What to bring:

-Extra respirators (K/N95 or equivalent)

-A dish to share!

-Bring your own dish to share at the potluck

Food Guidlines: All food items must be clearly labeled, sharing what the dish is and whether it contains any potential allergens (allergens/dietary restrictions include but are not limited to: gluten, dairy, nuts, soy, shellfish, meat of any kind, eggs). If you're cooking at home please practice good hygiene and sanitation while preparing food for others. Non-alcholic drinks/plates/utensils will be provided by organizers.

A craft for yourself!

Bring any sort of crafty project you want to work on!

Puppets!

If you have puppets at home invite them to the party too! (No rsvp needed)

Artistic Alphabet Mafia: the official silliest queer arts org in chicago with a focus on providing accessible, affordable, sober, and fun creative spaces for local queer people.

Chicago Craft Club: an intentional community of crafters from across the city that regularly hosts bring your own craft events at a variety of spaces including cafes, parks, and coworking areas

Puppet Queers

Chicago’s premier gay puppet performance group that hosts diy theater showcasing puppeteers from a wide variety of disciplines

Community guidelines

Please note that this is a queer community focused event, while allies are welcome the LGBT, bipoc, and disabled attendees of this event will take priority. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated at this event and any reports of such can/will result in violators being banned from future events.
