About this Event
死亡需要形式——棺木承載身體，靈堂安放思念，儀式留下記憶。每一個選擇，都形塑了我們告別的方式。告別不只屬於死亡，也關乎關係、階段與那個逐漸改變的自己。這場對談將從傳統說起，藝術與音聲等不同新媒介又如何介入，在這裡，告別或許可以被重新想像。
Death requires form—the coffin carries the body, the memorial hall enshrines longing, and rituals preserve memories. Every choice shapes the way we say goodbye. Farewell is not only about death; it is also about relationships, life stages, and the version of ourselves that is gradually changing. This dialogue will begin with tradition and explore how new mediums, such as art and sound, intervene. Here, farewell may perhaps be reimagined.

Graduated from the University of Hong Kong, and formerly a journalist, Kit Chan currently works as a column writer, editor, photographer and independent curator.
Putting focus on architecture, humanity, space making and urbanism, he actively documents Hong Kong, as well as other cities. He is the author of two books, KNOWHERE and KNOWHERE HONG KONG, published respectively in 2020 and 2023.
The former publication has been awarded with Hong Kong Publishing Biennial Awards 2021.

Pasu曾任香港生死學協會創會榮譽會長，早年於香港中文大學醫學院發起及推動「無言老師」遺體捐贈計劃多年，因而獲選為香港十大傑出青年(2019年)及香港人道年獎(2020年)得主。
About Dr Ng Kwai-lun, Pasu

"Pasu Ng is a social entrepreneur and educator dedicated to transforming the funeral industry and life & death education. He is the Co-founder of Minimal Funeral Ltd, a funeral service social enterprise, the Life and Death Education Space, and One Take Ltd, a social enterprise which provides ‘5 Blessings’ pre-planning service.
An expert in his field, Pasu is a Senior Restorative Artist, a British Registered Embalmer, and a U.S. Advance Care Planning Facilitator. His professional credentials also include being a Certified Trust Planner, a Guest Lecturer for the National Funeral Directors Association (USA), and a Lecturer at the Baptist Theological Seminary.
Previously, Pasu served as the Founding Honorary President of the Hong Kong Life and Death Studies Association. He gained widespread recognition for initiating and promoting the "Silent Teacher Body Donation Programme" at the Faculty of Medicine in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. In recognition of his profound social contributions, he was honored as one of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons (2019) and awardee of Hong Kong Humanity Award (2020).

About Penelope TANG
Singer-songwriter / Founder of 'Good Good-bye Production Limited
Penelope TANG is a singer who performs in jazz venues and theatre productions. She previously curated an experimental theatre piece called "Searching for Stillness," which explored funeral rituals and the meaning of death.
In 2019, she founded Good Good-bye Production Limited, which provides musical performances for funerals of all religions and offers customised composition services for the deceased and their families. Good Good-bye Production Limited is committed to providing companionship during difficult times through music.

關於歐陽秉志 (IG: @au_yeung_pingchi)
自僱人士/紮作師/手藝工作者/藝術家
歐陽秉志（阿志）熱衷於當代竹篾雕塑藝術，藉此表達他對在香港生活、事宜、感受和記憶的思索。近十年，阿志一直在傳統竹藝紮作與當代藝術表達形式中探索。儘管他早已是香港非物質文化遺產（非遺）項目——紮作技藝的知名師輩，亦曾多次受本地及國際知名媒體採訪，但他對當代藝術的執著與追求，促使他在 2023 年舉辦了首個個人展「竹目 · 觸目」，展出其竹雕塑作品。隨後，阿志籌劃第二個個展「看透｜不透」，該展覽視為首展的延續，繼續通過竹藝去深探及描繪百態人生。
阿志在 1997 年從藝術設計學院畢業後，隨即便協管家族業務——「寶華紮作」。家族專營紙、竹藝紮作，用於祭祖、供奉或喪葬儀式等業務，是行內老字號。起初，阿志對紙竹藝不太認識，經多年跟爸爸打拼，終於掌握這門傳統技藝，並從父親手中承繼了業務。然而，他卻對竹藝雕塑的當代藝術表現性產生了濃厚興趣。
在沒有受過傳統紮作學徒訓練的背景下，他反而能更自由地以全新視角看透竹篾藝術。阿志祈盼將傳統以當代藝術重塑，呈現給更多觀眾。故此，他如今既是紮作領域的知名工匠，同時也是竹篾雕塑藝術中冉冉嶄露的當代藝術家。
阿志深信竹篾、紙張、漿糊，以及他的紮作技藝，能為三維創作帶來無限的可能性，將他的思海以創意雕塑表達出來。此外，他持之以恆練習兒時最愛——「眾生百態的塗鴉筆畫」，更從塗鴉中獲得全新靈感，豐富了作品的內涵。
About Au Yeung Ping Chi

Artist Biography
Au Yeung Ping Chi (Ah Chi) had his first exhibition, “The Eye” in 2023, followed by “SEEN | UNSEEN” in 2026, both shows depicting human life’s ever-changing tapestry through his bamboo sculpture.
Following Ah Chi's graduation from art and design school in 1997, he soon joined his family’s business – the esteemed Po Wah Paper Craft shop, which specializes in paper craft for Chinese ancestral worship, deity offerings, or afterlife rituals. Although Ah Chi knew nothing about paper crafting at the start, he embraced the tradition of the craft over the years until he eventually inherited the business from his father. In the recent decade, he was eager to explore the bamboo craft in a contemporary art form.
Without traditional training as an apprentice for the craft at the start, he had the freedom to visit the material with a fresh perspective. Ah Chi allows his traditional art form to speak in a contemporary context. Hence, he is now on one side a renowned craftsman in the traditional bamboo and paper art, but at the same time an emerging contemporary artist in the bamboo sculpture art.
Ah Chi trusted the endless three-dimensional possibility of using the bamboo splits, papers, glue, and his skills as the tools for him to sculpt out his ideas. In addition, he still practices his childhood favorite doodle pen drawing for his curiosity on human life, which has been the inspiration for his artworks.
