About this Event
In this class you'll delve into the concepts of flow, momentum, and improvisation, integrating the idea of presence while becoming a "vertical creature." Rooted in the principles of contemporary dance technique, we'll dig into the relationship between space and our physicality, fostering a deeper understanding of ourselves through movement.
This class is open to dancers and movers of any age or acting background. All welcome. It will be physical, fun and truly emotional.
About the Artist:
A London-based dancer, choreographer, and teacher, Iole has been a member of the CDS Artist Community since 2023. She recently secured a commission for the Inteatro Festival (May 2024) with her project "From Off to On," and is actively involved in ongoing dance projects in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Warsaw, Poland.
Iole performed worldwide at festivals like OOTFest (Rich Mix) with IJAD Dance Company, ImpulsTanz, BIPOD (Lebanon), EastPointWest Festival (Malaysia), and Ravello Festival (Italy) and she was recently recognized with the prestigious Best Performer prize at the Premio Roma Danza23 International Festival.
Beyond performance, she has taught at prestigious UK institutions like the AcostaDance Centre, Trinity Laban, and the Oxford Fire Station. Notably, she was a member of TDC2020 at Trinity Laban. Iole trained at the National Academy of Dance in Rome and holds a master's degree in improvisation techniques and performing arts.
