Create Your Avatar Cloak — Fashion, Fabric & Embodied Identity

A 6-week creative WALKshop at Yozmit’s studio at Angels Gate Cultural Center in San Pedro, starting this Saturday. Create your own Avatar cloak — a wearable alter-ego for self-expression, transformation, and embodied art.

This is not a conventional sewing class. It is a creative fashion lab where sewing + technical support become tools for something bigger: creating your own personal mythology through clothing, character, and presence.

You’ll be guided to develop and embody your Avatar identity, bringing it to life through fabric, movement, and imagination — designing fashion your way.

Beginner-friendly — no experience needed. You are supported wherever you begin.

A public Avatar WALK performance in San Pedro — optional but highly recommended as a ritual to release and fully embody your Avatar.

You can also join individual workshops with Yozmit, exploring avatar creation, embodiment, and wearable art. These sessions offer tools to develop your own personal myth and artistic language.

In this talk, Yozmit The DogStar shares the personal journey behind DoYou — a creative philosophy of coming home to your SELF.

DoYou is a performance art campaign that shifts power from external conformity toward internal realization, using art, ritual, and embodiment as tools for transformation.

During this session, Yozmit will share stories from their artistic path and introduce the guiding concepts behind the PRNCX Avatar practice.

Participants will also receive an overview of the upcoming 6-week journey of Avatar Creation and WALKshop, where we explore tools such as movement, fashion, voice, meditation, and symbolic systems to create and embody our own avatars.

This talk serves as both an introduction and invitation into the creative process that will culminate in a public Avatar WALK performance.

Info: Opening the Inner Gate — Meditation & Awareness Activation

In this guided session, Yozmit The DogStar introduces simple meditation and awareness practices to access your Avatar state.

Through a short talk, guided meditation, and embodied exercises, participants will explore awareness, perception, and imagination as creative tools.

This workshop invites you to slow down, observe the mind, and shift into a deeper presence—where creativity and transformation begin.

No experience needed. All are welcome.

Info: Fashion can be more than style — it can be a tool for transformation. In this interactive workshop, Yozmit The DogStar explores how clothing, costume, and theatrical mask work can help us play with identity and reveal hidden aspects of ourselves.

Drawing from performance art and Yozmit’s experience as a costume designer, participants will experiment with fashion as a form of creative medicine — using garments, gesture, and presence to step beyond fixed identities and embody new possibilities.

Through artist demonstrations and group exercises, we explore how fashion can become armor, ritual costume, and expressive storytelling.

No fashion or performance experience needed. Curiosity and playfulness welcome.

Info: Join us for an open community music jam hosted by Yozmit The DogStar and collaborators. The evening begins with a short set from Yozmit’s band, followed by an open jam where local musicians are invited to join in.

Bring an instrument, your voice, rhythm, or simply come listen and enjoy the atmosphere. This is a welcoming space for improvisation, collaboration, and spontaneous creativity.

Musicians of all levels are welcome, and listeners are encouraged to come experience the energy of collective music-making.

Info: In this movement workshop, Yozmit The DogStar guides participants in exploring the body as a creative instrument for expression and transformation. Through gentle back and posture exercises inspired by corporeal mime, yoga, and body-awareness techniques, we reconnect with the body’s natural alignment and presence.

The session also includes guided movement exploration and free-flow ecstatic dance, encouraging participants to move beyond thinking about technique and instead follow sensation, rhythm, and intuition.

Together we explore how movement can awaken the Avatar Body—a state of embodied awareness that supports creativity, confidence, and personal expression. Simple wellness and body-care tips will also be shared.

No dance experience required. All bodies welcome.

Info: PRNCX AVATAR: Open Studio Experience is a weekend open space for art, sound, and presence.

This weekend we are shifting from our regular workshop schedule into an Open Studio + Arts Open format. Come spend time inside the creative space, explore artworks, and connect with the unfolding energy of PRNCX AVATAR.

Throughout the day, there will be immersive live music moments with Jeff Andrews, along with sound healing meditation, Oracle readings, and spontaneous performance activations woven into the environment.

Artists merch and offerings will also be available for viewing and purchase.

This is a donation-based, drop-in experience. Come and go in your own rhythm—stay, listen, rest, or engage with the space as it unfolds.

Info: Week 7 of the PRNCX AVATAR WALKshop becomes an intimate decompression salon after Open Studio/Arts Open weekend. Join me from 5-7pm inside my studio for a living installation of wearable art, guide sound meditation , voice activation, creative connection , and reflection tool of inspiration and renewal. A softer gathering for beauty, presence, transformation, and community. Guest are welcome to stay for hang out and open mic, sound jam. No separate community jam this week.

Info: How do artists sustain their work while staying true to their vision? In this closing workshop, Yozmit The DogStar shares personal experiences navigating funding, grants, and the evolving landscape of art and technology.

Participants will learn practical insights into grant writing, building support for creative projects, and thinking about money through a sacred economy mindset—where value, creativity, and community intersect.

The conversation will also explore the future of art in a technological world and how artists can maintain creative sovereignty while adapting to new tools and systems.

This session offers both practical guidance and an empowering perspective on sustaining a creative life.
