Course Description:
This course will explore treatment in the esthetic zone, focusing on principles of smile design, multidisciplinary treatment planning, and grafting techniques to achieve ideal esthetic outcomes.
Learning Objectives:
*Learn to evaluate the success of implant treatment in the esthetic zone using the pink and white esthetic scores.
*Discuss the principles and application of smile design in anterior implantology.
*Understand the integration of multidisciplinary and implant treatment planning for optimal esthetic outcome in the anterior area.
*Identify appropriate techniques for soft and hard tissue grafting to achieve ideal gingival margins and papilla height.
*Evaluate the criteria and protocols for immediate implant placement and immediate loading.
*Analyze causes of implant failures, including prosthetic, and surgical factors, and explore preventive measures.
*Recognize the management strategies for peri-implant diseases and complications.
*Compare the selection and use of various crown and abutment materials, such as titanium, zirconia, and e.max, also based on clinical scenarios maximizing esthetic results
Meet Your Instructor
Michael Yeh, DDS, MSD, FICOI, DABOI
Dr. Michael Yeh graduated from the National Taiwan University (Taipei, Taiwan) with a DDS degree in 1990 and received advanced training in oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics at the Chung Gung Memorial Hospital from 1992-1994.
He graduated from the prosthodontics program with a Masters of Science in 1998 at the University of Washington and is a Board Certified Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Since 1999, Dr. Michael Yeh is a an Affiliate Assistant Professor at the University of Washington for the Graduate Prosthodontic and Restorative Program in Seattle, WA.
He is the founder of the Seattle Implant Institute in 2010, has been an implantology course director for Hiossen and Biodenta, a keynote speaker for Keystone Dental Group, and a lecturer on various topics such as porcelain veneers, ridge augmentation, sinus lifts, treatment planning on fully and partially edentulous patients, implant esthetics, or immediate implants.
Dr. Yeh currently runs a private practice in Federal Way, WA, where he specializes in implantology, prosthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry.
