Workshop 02
Explore Costume Design: Making More Mischief with London College of Fashion
A 45-minute workshop with LCF’s Performance team exploring costume design.
This session will be delivered by Louise E P Chapman, Course Leader BA (Hons) Costume for Performance and currently enrolled on an AHRC funded practice-based PhD. Prior to working in higher education Louise worked as a costume practitioner for many of the UK’s best known theatres.
Educators will
- take inspiration from the ‘Making More Mischief’ exhibition which explores the pivotal role of costume in folk customs
- in small teams develop a character idea
- understand the main elements of a successful costume design
- gain ideas to bring these elements to life with the children
London College of Fashion offers courses in all things fashion, from business to design and fashion curation. With over 60 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, and 165 short courses, LCF students are collaborators, and together they have the ability to reinvent the fashion industry for the next 100 years.
