As part of Auckland Pride 2026, Auckland Museum presents Pride Whānau Fun Day! Join us for crafts and a loud and proud mini-Pride Parade to celebrate. This Pride, we’re inviting you to express yourself at the Museum!
Dive into our dress-ups, learn a chant and take part in a mini-parade in the Museum, led by silly, sparkly drag-king extraordinaire Hugo Grrrl.
To help prepare for the parades (and for quieter types!), we’ll have free craft activities throughout the day – headband-making and a collective banner to decorate – as well as face-painting and an artist-led workshop for kids aged 8-15.
Schedule:
10AM - 3PM: Craft activities
10AM - 2PM: Face painting
10AM - 2PM: Tote Bag Workshop
11.30AM & 2PM: Mini-Pride parades led by Hugo Grrrl
Auckland Museum is a safe and inclusive place for all, and we welcome all families to come and celebrate the richness of the society in which we live. We warmly welcome LGBTTQIA+ and takatāpui families, and their allies to a fun-filled day of activities and entertainment.
This event is part of the 2026 Auckland Pride Festival. See the full programme at aucklandpride.org.nz.
