About this Event
Rosa Rankin Gee My Only Boy
Rosa Rankin-Gee is the award-winning author of three novels. Her first, The Last Kings of Sark, won Shakespeare & Company’s Paris Literary Prize. Her second, Dreamland, has been adapted for a major BBC TV series, airing late 2026. Her third novel, My Only Boy, is out now. She lives between London and New York with her wife and daughter.
Set over the course of an historic year, My Only Boy is both a once-in-a-lifetime love story and an uncompromising state-of-the-nation thriller that asks universal questions about the compromises we are prepared to make and the lengths to which we are prepared to go obtain the things we desire most.
Josh Silver Fruit Fly
Josh Silver is a British author. He is a former actor and mental health nurse. His debut novel, HappyHead, the first in a dystopian duology of young adult fiction books, was shortlisted for the 2024 YA Book Prize, nominated for the 2024 Carnegie Medal for writing and named an Amazon Best YA book of 2023.
Fruit Fly is a darkly funny literary satire that examines privilege, queer identity, and our modern obsession with authenticity, perfect for fans of Detransition, Baby, Evenings and Weekends and Eliza Clark.
