About this Event
Earth Heart - journeys into body, imagination and healing retreat day.
At the heart of our day will be the Procession of the Heart an ancient hands-on self-healing practice originating from the high Mongolian and Tibetan plains. This healing practice was passed on from horse-backed travelling Shaman, to the remote communities they encountered, as a way for the people to be well, help each other and to keep the people united. This awareness based somatic practice will be shared with you during the retreat. As the layers of your bodybeing experience your deep listening through your hands and presence, layers of tension and conditioning can soften, enabling a deeper sense of ease, wellbeing and unity.
Through the cycle of the retreat we will also meet the Heartfield through; creating simple ceremony together, listening to the land, ecosomatic movement, sharing and other creative practices. The day will unfold inside the beautiful village hall and outside amongst the presence of the trees, sky, other animals and weather of the day. An embodied journey from feeling our sense of separation to healing our sense of separation as we reawaken to the ecology of our body woven with the ecology of Earth.
Permission has been given to share the Procession of the Heart practice which I received some years ago from my Craniosacral Therapy teacher. This healing way was passed on to him from his teacher, who was initiated into Tibetan Bon medicine and healing as a child. The basic principles of this ancient healing system centre on taking a natural, integrated approach to healing imbalances and strengthening the web of unity.
No previous experience is necessary, the day is open to all with an interest in this work.
A donation will be made to Survival International from ticket sales.
A weekend residential retreat Heartfield in the Moor is also planned on Dartmoor, Devon 2nd – 4th October, which will offer a time to deepen into these practices. See my for further details.
