About this Event
Have you been invited to present at a conference, a departmental seminar, or maybe a fellowship interview, for example? Do you feel nervous before presenting in front of an audience? Find your voice and learn how to deal with those pesky nerves at our "Presenting with Impact: Mastering Public Speaking" workshop.
We are delighted that Ms Leila Crerar is back to deliver this workshop again. Leila is a professional actor with training in public speaking and experience of working with science students and ECRs. The workshop is very interactive and will involve voice coaching and other theatre-based techniques to help bring your public speaking skills to the next level. The Bloomsbury Studio (beneath the Bloomsbury Theatre) is the perfect setting for this event.
The event is provided for researchers at UCL to develop communication skills in an innovative way to help them with presentation of their work in a clear and engaging manner. You will be in the company of fellow ECRs in a supportive environment, so please sign up and give this a go!
The Division of Medicine Early Career Research Network will be holding a public speaking workshop on Tuesday 14th April 2026 in Bloomsbury Studio on 15 Gordon Street
