About this Event
Which dripper brews the best coffee?
In this workshop, we’re putting 6 different coffee drippers to the test! Join Jess of Slothee Coffee for a guided coffee tasting. Using the exact same coffee from Continuum Coffee Roasters, we’ll brew side-by-side pours with 6 different drippers - including favorites from Cafe C, Origami, Hario, Kalita Wave, Simplify by Bathtub Coffee, and Loveramics - to explore how brewer design can change the way a coffee tastes. From shape and filter style to flow rate and extraction, each dripper brings out unique characteristics in the same coffee.
Through guided tastings and discussion, you’ll compare each brew, uncover subtle differences, and learn how small brewing decisions can have a big impact on the final cup. Whether you’re new to pour overs or deep into your home brewing journey, this workshop is all about tasting more intentionally and understanding how the tools you choose shape your coffee experience.
The tasting will take place at O5 Rare Tea Bar from 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Whether you're a curious coffee enthusiast or a seasoned coffee nerd, this workshop is open to all!
After the workshop, Slothee Coffee will be popping up at O5 from 12 PM - 4 PM, serving pour-over coffees and espresso beverages, with coffee beans and oat milk drinks available for purchase. Feel free to stick around and hang out afterwards!
This workshop is the second installment of Pour Decisions, a new workshop series exploring the decisions behind every pour - from the beans we choose to the water we brew with. Check out the first installment, A Water Experiment, happening the previous week. If you'd like to attend both and save on tickets, please reach out to us directly at [email protected].
