About this Event
Pointed Toes & Prosecco is a beginner‑friendly ballet session created exclusively for neurodivergent women & the LGBTQ+ community, in collaboration with BContours Ballet Studio.
This session is based on BContours’ Beginner Ballet class format and is designed to be welcoming, supportive and low pressure. It is an open, non‑syllabus class that follows the structure of a traditional ballet session, making it ideal for complete beginners or anyone wanting a gentle re‑introduction to movement.
The class will begin with a comprehensive warm‑up at the barre, focusing on posture, alignment and basic classical movements. This will be followed by simple centre exercises, introducing coordination, musicality and light movement combinations. The emphasis throughout the class is on enjoyment, exploration and moving in a way that feels good, rather than performance or perfection.
The session will be hosted by Heather, a fellow neurodivergent and experienced ballet teacher!
What to expect:
- A 1‑hour beginner ballet class in a supportive, inclusive environment
- Traditional ballet structure (barre + centre), adapted for accessibility and ease
- No prior ballet or dance experience required
- An optional prosecco social afterwards — stay and chat, or leave when you’re ready

Spaces are limited to keep the session comfortable, so advance booking is required. If necessary please try to cancel at least 48 hours before the event to allow us to offer out the spaces to anyone else who would like to attend.
