About this Event
Plant blindness is the human inability to consciously perceive plants in our surroundings. In a busy urban setting like Amsterdam, we might not always perceive the plants - but do the plants perceive us? Which unwritten histories have they witnessed? Are they witnessing? And will witness in the future?? 👀 🌿
In this two-hour poetry workshop hosted by Kelly Mullins and Jamie Rhiannon Fehribach, we will explore plants as past, present, and future historians through a guided series of writing prompts:
Plants as time machines. Plants as harborers of knowledge. Plants as witnesses. Plants as oracles. Plants as resistors. And more.
Not an experienced poet? No problem! This workshop is for all levels.
It will include:
- A guided meditation walk outside 🌳
- Writing prompts connecting nature & time ⏱️
- Reflections on the local flora & fauna 🌼
- Oracle cards to spark imagination 🔮
Already attended our last ecology of poetry workshop? We hope you join us again! This one will contain brand new prompts.
