About this Event
Imagery is a foundational principle of poetry, and in this workshop I'm inviting you to play and experiment with how you use imagery in your writing.
We'll look at some things other poets have said about imagery, explore some excellent image rich poems, and have a go at several of our own pieces of writing.
No worries if you're a complete newbie or a long-time writer, this workshop is a fun and relaxed space to practice our craft together.
There'll be plenty of opportunities to share your work if you would like to, but no pressure to do so if you don't feel like it.
Bring some curiosity, a willingness to have a go, and a pen and some paper or something else to write with/on.
Terrace is a bar so there'll be soft and alcoholic drinks available. We'll be in the meeting space upstairs rather than in the bar itself.
As a working class writer I've come up against pay barriers all my life, if you would like to attend but the cost of this workshop presents a barrier to you please get in touch.
Looking forward to writing with you :)
