About this Event
The celebrated American poet Ange Mlinko visits Foyles to mark her UK debut, Foxglovewise, with an evening of readings and conversation with Lavinia Greenlaw.
The poems inFoxglovewise are quiet and revelatory, careful and probing. Roaming from a Scottish cemetery to the site of a Texas storm, they exquisitely capture contemporary experience while speaking profoundly and challengingly to deep histories. Mlinko will be reading from her first UK collection, available ahead of publication exclusively for this event, and discussing the complexities of her work, with Faber Poetry Editor Lavinia Greenlaw.
Ange Mlinko has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship and the Randall Jarrell Award for Criticism. She writes for theNew York Review of Books and theLondon Review of Books. She lives and teaches in Florida.
