The Christmas season officially begins with Plymouth’s spectacular Christmas Lights Switch-On, sponsored by Morgan Sindall Construction. This year’s event takes place on Thursday 13 November on the Piazza in Plymouth City Centre.A packed stage programme starting at 4pm will feature a number of performances from local schools, bands and performing arts groups before The Lord Mayor of Plymouth, Councillor Kathy Watkin, Santa and special guests lead the countdown to light up the city centre with colour and Christmas cheer at 6.25pm
