In this class you will be developing personal life stories into a dramatic form for the theatre. What are the differences between memoir and playwriting and how can you combine the two into a meaningful work for live theatre?We will be discussing the finer points of playwriting then doing playwriting and memoir writing exercises to discover the story that you want to tell.Your work will be read out loud in class with ample feedback by myself and your classmates and you will have a draft of a one act play or a part of a longer work.I have been writing plays for 40 years and teaching for the last decade.
