The “singers-in-the-round" is a performance format where multiple singer-songwriters sit together on stage, often in a semi-circle, and take turns performing their original songs. The format allows for storytelling and interaction between the artists, as they share the stories behind their songs and potentially collaborate with each other, adding harmonies or instrumental licks.
Sister District Project is a grassroots organization that aims to build enduring progressive power in state legislatures across the country, to improve people’s lives.
Indivisible SF is a progressive community organization in San Francisco and one of the organizers of No Kings. We are working to mobilize regular people to use their skills to resist the Trump/MAGA regime, protect each other from ICE, and fight for our progressive values.

IRA MARLOWE
Marlowe, proprietor of Berkeley’s Monkey House, has been called “a songwriter’s songwriter.” He’s taught his craft at UC Berkeley and seen his music featured in places ranging from NPR to the Dr. Demento show, to four San Francisco Mime Troupe productions. His warm voice and smart, literate lyrics have earned him many awards and one crappy record deal. Drawing comparisons that range from Tom Waits to James Taylor to Elvis Costello, there’s nothing run-of-the-mill here. His top-flight band injects the material with exciting new elements from Motown, Cajun, Blues and Funk— with no shortage of rock ’n’ roll. The band has an email list of 3,000 and works hard to make each show a success for all involved.

FRANCESCA LEE
“Francesca Lee is a emotionally brave vocalist and songwriter who handles quite well the delicate task of evoking both strength and deeply felt passion, as well as vulnerability and thoughtful restraint - sometimes with a single song. ” - PC MUNOZ

DEBORAH CROOKS
"Deborah Crooks makes the case for a return to the roots of rock"- Consequence of Sound
California-based songwriter Deborah Crooks' music draws on folk, rock, and the Blues. Her diverse, ever-evolving artistic path has included studying writing and poetics at The Naropa Institute, voice in India, co-founding the band Bay Station, and gigging throughout the Western U.S.

AMY OBENSKI
Behind Obenski's crystalline voice and thought provoking lyrics, you’ll notice influences from Motown and jazz with glimpses of 1960s folk-rock greats such as Carole King or Joni Mitchell. Her biggest breakthrough so far was when her song, Carousel, was featured on the hit TV show, Grey's Anatomy.

NEWMAN
“Newman” is Ken Newman; Singer, Guitarist and Songwriter, performing in California, New York, Oregon and Zihuatanejo, Mexico. His albums, “What Am I Afraid Of?” and “Blanket the Homeless” were released to broad critical praise both domestically and internationally. His upcoming album, “Magician Reversed” will reflect a strong Latin influence, owing to his time spent living in Mexico. It is scheduled for release in 2026.
-----
“Newman should be playlisted in the hard-edged Americana rock zone alongside Petty, Springsteen, Johnny Cash & Woodie Guthrie.”
Newman’s musical world is a sharp one, blending great songwriting and social commentary.”

PETE KRONOWITT
Pete combines performing and activism. If Steve Earle and Elvis Costello got pissed enough to write political tunes, they would sound like Pete Kronowitt songs. Indie-folk with an undertow. Pete founded Face the Music Collective, a guide for creative activists utilizing performances to inspire targeted individual action, one event at a time.

ROBERT SCOTT MUELLER
Mueller is the leader of San Francisco rock band Gen 11. His solo works draws on many influences and his experiences in the music scene over the decades. His past projects include bluegrass stalwarts, Colonels Of Truth.
CoT had songs on Jim Jeffries FX series Legit. They were a regular on Jose Segue’s Hicks With Sticks. Coy shared bills with Pert Near Sandstone & Charlie Parr.
-----
GEN11 has regular airplay Little Steven’s Underground Garage (Rodney Bingenheimer & Bill Kelly’s shows), Garage D’or, dozens of other stations in US, Europe and Latin America with our two singles on Code 213 Records.

THE SAM CHASE
The Sam Chase hails from San Francisco, California. This juggernaut of a singer-songwriter blends rock n roll with folk music while maintaining the sensibilities and attitudes that come from growing up on a healthy diet of punk rock.
The Sam Chase is a natural storyteller with a voice that sounds as if it has weathered many an epic tale.
