Das Werk des US-amerikanischen Komponisten, Produzenten und DJs John Beltran erstreckt sich über mehr als drei Jahrzehnte. Die in Chile geborene und in Berlin lebende Diamin ist DJ, Plattensammlerin und Umweltwissenschaftlerin mit Interesse an Biologie. Ihre Sets speisen sich aus selten gespielten Vinylfunden – aus lateinamerikanischen Archiven ebenso wie aus europäischen Lagerbeständen. Diamin versteht Musik als etwas Organisches und Gemeinschaftliches – eine Art Weltgestaltung in Echtzeit, in der jede Platte mit Neugier und Sorgfalt eingesetzt wird – auf dem Dancefloor wie im Radio.

Under his Placid Angles moniker, Beltran explores a more introspective dimension of his practice, focusing on beatless or gently rhythmic compositions that emphasise texture, space and emotional resonance, drawing on new age, classical and experimental electronic traditions.
Diamin (DJ-Set)
Diamin, born in Chile and based in Berlin, is a DJ, record collector, and environmental scientist with an interest in biology. Her sets draw from rarely played vinyl discoveries—sourced both from Latin American archives and Europe's most suburban warehouses. Diamin approaches music as something organic and communal: a sort of real-time worldbuilding in which each record is handled with curiosity and care—whether on the dancefloor or on the radio.
