The stunning finale of Trinity’s PIPES concert series celebrates the innovation and enduring power of the French musical tradition.
About this Event

Illustrating the dramatic range of the new landmark pipe organ, Trinity organist Avi Stein and organ scholar Alex Leonardi will perform Louis Vierne’s stunningly grandiose Messe solennelle, in concert with Trinity Choir. Once conceived for full orchestra, the Messe asks the musicians to explore the depths of the organ's colors and sonic possibilities. The evening’s tour of the rich legacy of French music will also feature the work of three of Vierne’s preeminent pupils: the harmonic sophistication of Nadia Boulanger, the ethereal lyricism of her younger sister Lili Boulanger, and the virtuosic compositions of Marcel Dupré. Melissa Baker, flute; Melissa Attebury, conductor.

Registration for this free event is highly recommended as seating is limited.
