Get excited for the next PHS July School Horn Day event for 2024! Impress your teachers and kickstart your playing for Term 3 by coming along to Perth Horn Society’s day of workshops for school horn players. This event will be held on Saturday 13th July, 10.00am to 3.30pm with a concert for friends and family at 3.00pm, at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in Mount Lawley.
Our SHD event is a day of workshops for horn students of all abilities in years 3 to 12, designed to provide students with the rare opportunity to play and learn alongside a large group of other horn students from different schools. Students will participate in a variety of music and horn specific sessions, including a streamed warm-up class, small ensemble sessions, mass ensemble sessions, and be provided the opportunity to get to know like-minded horn students from schools in Perth. We will also be announcing a special guest closer to the event date.
Fee for registration is $30, helping us provide students with a richer learning opportunity. The fee also includes pizza for lunch! Payments can be made either by bank transfer or eftpos payment on the day. We don’t want a financial burden to prevent any student from being able to participate in School Horn Days, so if this will be a problem for you please do not hesitate to connect with our team and we can sort something out ([email protected]).
Registrations open on Saturday 1st June at 8:00pm, and close on Friday 5th July at 11.59pm. Register now to avoid missing out!
Perth Horn Society gratefully acknowledges WA Academy of Performing Arts for their ongoing generous support of PHS and our events.Get excited for the next PHS July School Horn Day event for 2024!
