About this Event
Time outside is good for our mental health. Add in the fun of creative photography and an opportunity to meet new people and we’re onto a recipe for boosting our sense of wellbeing.
Join local photographer and creativity specialist, Rachel Kiley, to explore familiar local places through the lens of your smartphone camera, (big camera’s welcome too!).
Rachel combines her expertise in photography, hosting creative spaces and passion for wellbeing, to gently guide participants in discovering how slowing down and paying deeper attention to the world around them, helps promote a greater sense of wellbeing as well as creating some wonderful images to feel proud of. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to be curious and have fun!
Each session will consist of a gentle walk, with a variety of photography opportunities. Rachel will share ideas and techniques to practice. There will be opportunity to share your ‘photo of the day’ with the group and reflect on the process of creating it.
Each location has been chosen for accessibility, with a cafe nearby… because coffee fuels photography!
