About this Event
Spend an evening shooting alongside photographer and educator Chloe Ramirez at Seattle’s iconic Gas Works Park for a hands-on portrait photography experience designed to sharpen your eye and spark your creativity.
This immersive working shoot is all about learning how to create compelling portraits on location—using available light, directing subjects naturally, and adapting quickly as conditions shift from golden hour into the rich tones of blue hour. Chloe will guide attendees through her real-world approach in real time, sharing how she builds connection, composes scenes, and makes creative decisions on the fly.
You’ll photograph a live couple model against the dramatic backdrop of the Seattle skyline, industrial textures, and waterfront views that make Gas Works Park such a favorite among local photographers. Whether you’re looking to strengthen your portrait skills, build confidence shooting outdoors, or simply spend an inspiring evening creating with the community, this is a unique opportunity to learn directly from Chloe in the field.
LOANER GEAR:
Plus, the Nikon team will be on-site with a selection of Nikon Z-series cameras and lenses available to try throughout the evening. Bring your camera, a memory card, and your curiosity—we’ll make photos, chase light, and have a great time doing it.
