About this Event
Choosing the right paper for your prints shouldn’t feel more complicated than making the photograph itself. With terms like baryta, pearl, matte, glossy, cotton rag, alpha-cellulose, and FineArt thrown around, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed when trying to decide what paper is right for your work.
Join us for an approachable and informative session designed to demystify the world of inkjet printing papers. We’ll break down the key differences between paper types, explain how papers are made, and explore why material choices directly impact the look, feel, and longevity of your prints.
What you'll learn:
- How is paper made? What materials and methods are used?
- What is an archival inkjet print, and why does paper choice matter?
- What are the three key criteria for comparing papers and selecting the right one?
We’ll also take a guided look through the full lineup of Hahnemühle inkjet papers, including both the Digital FineArt Collection and the Hahnemühle Photo Collection, with plenty of real-world examples and print samples to explore.
Bring your questions! We’ll wrap up with an open Q&A focused on workflows, print presentation, and selecting papers for your personal style and projects.
