About this Event
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust is an NHS trust which was formed on 1 October 2013 and is responsible for running two acute hospitals, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and University Hospital Lewisham, in addition to community health services in Lewisham.
Our Phlebotomy Department is offering a full training programme to give people the opportunity to become a phlebotomist.
We'll have a Theory session where you will learn all the fundamentals and regulations around blood tests' procedures.
On the same day, you will start having your first practical lessons on dummy arms, having contact with materials and basic practices.
The practical session with patients will be the last step, when you can bleed people coming for their blood tests in our outpatients' departments on QEH or UHL.
* *IMPORTANT NOTE**
You MUST complete your practical session within 28 days after the theoretical class.
