Pointe Shoe Customisation Workshop
As a dance company, we work with countless dancers who train and perform on pointe, and over time, we’ve accumulated a growing collection of unused pointe shoes. While these shoes were never worn, they are no longer suitable for dancing once the box softens, as this compromises support and increases the risk of injury. We decided to collaborate with ART-ZOO to give them a second act by repurposing them as a special memento for Peter and Blue!
How does this workshop creatively give pointe shoes a second act?
- Use event-exclusive custom stamps designed specifically for this workshop.
- Explore creative expression while promoting sustainable reuse of ballet footwear.
- All materials provided. No prior experience required.
Once you’ve created your masterpiece, bring your pointe shoe home as a special memento of the night!
Additional Information
- The workshop will take place during the pre-show and post-show sessions of Peter & Blue's Treasure Hunt 2026 at the SOTA Drama Theatre Foyer
- Participants will receive one pointe shoe as part of the workshop.
- Participants who have signed up for the workshop may also purchase additional pointe shoes on-site for $5 each, subject to availability.
