The Department of Arts & Culture will host a Performance Night on May 7, 2026, from 6–8 p.m.at the Centro de Artes Gallery in Historic Market Square. The event is in conjunction with the newly installed exhibition A Postmodernist Says ¿Qué? which explores the Latinx experience framed within various realms of humor as a valuable conduit for individuals and groups to connect to and better understand each other. The evening’s lineup includes readings, a tortilla-press printmaking demonstration, dance, and a puppet performance.The exhibition is curated by Vikky Jones and features the work of 34 artists in a variety of mediums including painting, photography, collage, ceramics, video, installation, textiles, sculpture, and performance. The exhibition will be on view through August 30, 2026. Centro de Artes is free and open to the public Wednesday-Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
