About this Event

PBW Box and Brunch with Lesley Sackey

Black Women are you ready! We are super excited to be hosting the first ever PBW Box and Brunch, with a boxing session facilitated by former Team GB boxer and gold medalist Lesley Sackey, followed by a delicious Ghanaian brunch provided by Aunty Vic's.

We will be at the legendary Allstars Boxing Gym, which has hosted it's fair share of heavy hitters, from 50 Cent to Mike Tyson!

This event is open to Black women and allies of all ages and abilities, for an empowering boxing session and the opportunity to connect with one another over food afterwards.

Boxing gloves will be provided but if you have your own please do bring them.

About Lesley Sackey

Lesley Sackey is a former Team GB boxer and gold medallist. A trailblazer in the sport, Lesley became the first British woman to win gold at the EU Championships in 2008, and went on to represent Great Britain on the international stage.

Lesley is founder of Fight Forward, an organisation which brings women together through boxing. Motivated by her own experience of domestic abuse, Lesley set out to help other survivors reclaim their strength and voice through boxing.

Her approach is deliberately disruptive: using boxing – often seen as a violent sport – to help women who've experienced violence heal, reconnect with their bodies, and find community.

About Aunty Vic's
