About this Event

Gas Works Park is a great place to set up an easel in June. Join us for an upcoming paint-out to capture one of the most unique locations in Seattle.
On a sunny day, the park is truly a painter’s playground. You’ll have your pick of diverse subjects, from the towering, rusted beauty of the only remaining coal gasification plant in the country to sweeping views of the city, fishing boats, and the George Washington Memorial Bridge. If you prefer capturing life in motion, there are always plenty of picnickers lounging on the grassy hills and Canadian geese wandering the grounds.
Don’t let the threat of a Seattle drizzle deter you, either. If it rains, we have excellent shelter within the remaining parts of the plant. You’ll stay perfectly dry while having a front-row seat to paint the intricate machinery and structures from the safety of the cover.
