This course is for those who want to make garments to fit their own shape perfectly. It's a full day of measuring, drafting and cutting a basic template as a basis of a pair of well fitting trousers.
You will create a basic blueprint from which to build your skills in pattern cutting, or simply create the one pattern to repeat in different cloth eg: linen, cord, silk, wool as summer or winter weight styles.
This is an advanced course and is best suited to those who have already done some dressmaking using bought patterns.

What do I need to bring? all drawing materials and pattern paper are privided.
Times: All our Saturday workshops run from 10 - 4 with a break for lunch.
Refreshments: We are unable to provide lunch, so please bring lunch or take advantage of the lovely cafes in Cockermouth. Tea, coffee, biscuits are on tap all day.
Parking: We are situated on the main street just next to Wordsworth House. If you are bringing a machine, feel free to drop off at the shop around 9.45 and there are several carparks within a short walking distance.
