About this Event
Join us for PATCHED, a powerful evening of poetry, music, and art celebrating the many meanings of home in Newham. This Open Mic marks the culmination of a borough-wide creative project that brought together residents from supported living services, young patients at Newham Hospital, and SEND artists to explore personal stories through spoken word and visual art.
What to Expect:
- Performances by workshop participants and local poets, hosted by acclaimed Newham poet Be Manzini
- Original music created in composing workshops, soundtracking the evening
- Launch of the PATCHED zine, featuring artwork and writing from across the project
- Open mic slots available – all performances must explore the theme of home
This intergenerational, collaborative event is part of Newham at 60: A Borough Like No Other, and showcases the creativity, resilience, and diversity of our community.
