A workshop for professionals in the field of education to discuss best practices in building partnerships with parents and guardians. In our two-hour seminar we will discuss both (a) value added strategies on how to build common ground, unite efforts, and work in unison with parents, and (b) dual sided techniques to create structures and supports to improve student performance and outcomes.

Our workshop is led by a former educator with experience (a) working with teens in traditional and charter public schools in New York City, (b) implementing university-district partnerships to enhance teacher preparation and training, and (c) co-creating curriculum for professional development training for school and district leaders.
The seminar includes opportunities to question past practices; of yourself and others to accentuate the positive and eliminate the tried and not true. We will also brainstorm new and improved methods to connect.
At the workshop, the facilitator shares some of her own recommended techniques, opens the floor for others to share best practices and new ideas, and coaches teachers with trouble shooting sensitive situations.
The aim is to enhance efforts to improve relationships and outcomes for the teacher, parent, and student.
The next seminar is available on-site and online. It is scheduled a few weeks before parent teacher conference.
