Fashion for Action is a multi-day fundraising event that builds on Housing Works’ unique history as a retail pioneer and brings retailers, brands, and fashionistas from across the city and county together to support life-saving housing and healthcare programs for New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS and end the AIDS epidemic for everyone. Of course, to affect change we sometimes need a “zhuzh” - a small addition that can make all the difference. Our thousands of thrift customers know that one item from Housing Works can make the outfit – that’s why we’re celebrating the impact of accessories at this year’s Fashion for Action event.
In addition to expanded accessory donors, display cases, and a redesigned e-shop powered by Shopify, the 2024 event will feature:
Thousands of NEW men’s and women’s apparel items
Curated online “closets” from top stylists
Curated auction featuring one-of-a kind designer items and experiences.
All donated pieces and curated closets are priced to sell at 50-80% of retail and all proceeds support Housing Works program
