Pan Thorarensen, Þorkell Atlason & Borgar Magnason
Pan Thorarensen is a musician, producer and event/festival organizer from Reykjavík, Iceland. Pan has composed music for short films and documentaries and released numerous albums under various stage names, one of them is the experimental-ambient-trio "Stereo Hypnosis," in which he collaborates with his father, Óskar Thorarensen, and the composer Þorkell Atlason. Stereo Hypnosis have also released collaborative albums with various artists, such as Christopher Chaplin, Eraldo Bernocchi and Hans-Joachim Roedelius. Pan has travelled and exhibited his art across the world, performing at multiple music festivals, during these travels, he has bonded with countless musicians, visual artists, agents, reporters and event planners. Pan's has long been a catalyst of electronic music in Iceland. 16 years ago, he founded and organised "Extreme Chill," an annual electronic music festival which has drawn both local and foreign electronic music enthusiasts into the amber embrace of Icelandic nature. Extreme Chill and the festival's numerous sub-events have begotten multiple releases, concerts, friendships and collaborations between Icelandic and foreign musicians.
Thorkell Atlason Is an Icelandic composer and guitarist. He graduated from Rotterdam Codearts in composition and electronic music. His works have been performed widely abroad as in Iceland. He is a member of various music groups; experimental composers group S.L.Á.T.U.R, electronic bands Stereo Hypnosis and Tunglleysa as well contributing to various other projects.
Since the startbof his career, Borgar Magnason has consistently proven him self to be among the most diverse & innovative artists in music. Classically trained but today unbound by genre his musical interests span everything from composing music for film, tv and theatre to solo performances of cutting edge contemporary music to multimedia collaborations as well as writing orchestral arrangements for a.o. Andrea Bocelli and adding his signature bass drones to the music of Sigurrós. His original music to the play The Father by Florian Zeller was nominated as composition of the year at The 2019 Icelandic Music Awards. His live shows can not easily be categorised, often blending neo-classical compositions with improvised sonic explorations and experimental - pop. A genre bending artist that´s as comfortable in a grimy basement venue as he is in a prestigious concert hall.
R.M Hendrix & Nico Guerrero
R.M. Hendrix is a U.S.-born experimental-pop artist, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and producer now based in Reykjavík. His creative work is deeply shaped by environment, transience, and emotional tension. With Blindur (2023), Hendrix crafted a sonic diary — choosing eight instrumental tracks from among 30, infusing field-inspired textures, ambient electronics, and subtle noise, resulting in immersive soundscapes that evoke nature and introspection. YUKS (2025) marks a leap: where Blindur was largely instrumental and atmospheric, YUKS layers lyrical content, complex moods, and genre-blurring mixes of trip-hop, dream pop, ambient noise, with political and social themes. Critics highlight its tension between chaos and melody, its capacity to unsettle and soothe, and its ambition to reflect both outer and inner landscapes with nuance.
Nico Guerrero is a French composer-guitarist living between Paris and Reykjavik. He's first known for his dark shoegaze project Vortex in the early 90', which already laid the foundations for the cosmic and noisy universe he would explore later. His guitar processing through numerous electronic filters creates a very dense space, rich in overtones, becoming a wall of echoing organ clusters, sometimes cold and incantatory, sometimes more epic and shaping dreamscapes, or darker and threatening. He has performed and worked with numerous musicians, including composer Rhys Chatham with whom he recently collaborated on their duet "Athanor," to be released this fall on the US Erototox Decodings label.
