About this Event
Our government has actively facilitated Israel’s continuing genocide in Gaza, and is turning to increasingly authoritarian measures to silence opposition to it.
It has supported Trump’s deadly assaults on Iran and Lebanon, hampered the prospect of peace in Ukraine, and is at the forefront of mass remilitarisation across Europe.
Working people are being squeezed by the rocketing cost of living as a result of the war on Iran. Public money that should be spent on repairing our broken NHS, transport, education and housing is being swept away into the bottomless pockets of the arms manufacturers.
Join us for this important discussion on the relentless drive to war and the growing international movement against it.
Speakers:
- John Rees, Stop the War Coalition
- Stella Swain, Palestine Solidarity Campaign
- Maryam Eslamdoust, TSSA General Secretary
- Kerie Anne, Unison Tower Hamlets Branch Secretary
