About this Event
Tour description:
Guided by graffiti photographer and documentarian Antar Fierce and Assistant Teaching Professor Julia Tulke (ILA), The Painted City Tour invites guests to explore three locations across Atlanta where Style Writers and muralists have transformed public spaces with intricate, expressive works.
The tour highlights the origins of Style Writing and honors the early artists who helped shape Atlanta’s public art landscape. At the same time, participants will see how this vibrant art form continues to evolve when writers are supported, recognized, and given space to create.
A boxed lunch will be included. Please note that portions of the tour will include periods of walking outside of the bus, so participants with limited mobility should contact the organizers to discuss accommodations. All are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
