About this Event
Outlook 2025
Welcome to Outlook 2025! Join us to review the economic performance of agriculture in 2024 and explore the Outlook for 2025. This in-person event will be held at Teagasc, Conference Centre in Ashtown Dublin 15.
Milk, lamb and beef prices improved in 2024, while cereal prices remained relatively stable.
Weather conditions through much of 2024 presented a serious challenge, with particularly high rainfall in the first half of the year, followed by dry conditions and below normal temperatures through the summer period. This created challenges for both grassland and tillage systems at various points in the year.
Fertiliser prices gradually moved downwards in 2024, but are still above historical norms. Feed prices were also lower, while fuel prices remained relatively stable. Nevertheless, production costs overall remain at a high level.
This year’s conference will include the short term outlook for the major sectors, as well as an assessment of their environmental impact.
