Khashayar Kess Mohammadi is the winner of the 2021 Vallum poetry prize and author of 10 poetry chapbooks, most recently "Bedfruit" by Sputnik & Fizzle. Their most recent book "Book of Interruptions" is out with Wolsak & Wynn
Elizabeth Dean (they) is a revenant soul who takes the form of a versatile artist. Their creations are pointedly anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, and pro-community, with a sprinkling of personal wonder. A Mississauga-raised GTA local, and shameless Ottawa lover, Elizabeth’s work has been presented at open mics and poetry slams in both regions since 2015. Their written work has been published locally by InkMovement and by The Stanzaic Journal, as well as in an international anthology titled “Capitalism is a Death Cult”.
In addition to writing, Elizabeth flexes their improv storytelling muscles on their podcast “Retrospect Station”. Elizabeth is also the Editor-in-Chief of Sennadyne Press and is releasing the press’s first work in January 2026: a protest zine called “The Telltale Rot.” Elizabeth firmly believes that art is the teacher of the soul.
