Johnson Music & Fine Arts Foundation will host our Annual Scholarship Brunch, “Holiday Joy!” Celebrating 25 years of Education & Music Excellence at The Ballroom at Tanglewood, 5430 Westheimer Ct., Houston, Texas 77056, 2:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 21, 2025; doors open at 1:30 p.m. As part of the Foundation's mission, your contributions will assist in obtaining much needed instruments, supplies, and scholarships, including the “Miola Laws Scholarship of Achievement” for young musicians Award. Please assist us in providing an unforgettable afternoon by becoming an event sponsor, providing in-kind services and gifts (i.e., printing, airline tickets, auction items, hotel accommodations) or purchasing a table or two ($1,000.00 for a table of 10) to the event. Your support will assist us in providing students an opportunity to study music and a chance to become practicing musicians with the ability to utilize the discipline of music to achieve their life goals. In return, we will advertise you and/or your business as one that supports our programs and our ongoing efforts to enrich the community’s musical offerings. The COJ Regional Youth Orchestra, the beneficiary of this fundraiser, is a subsidiary of The Conrad O. Johnson Music and Fine Arts Foundation (COJMFAF). The orchestra is comprised of students ages eleven through eighteen from the Greater Houston area, many of whom come from underserved communities. COJMFAF, as part of its mission to continue “Prof” Johnson’s legacy of education and music excellence, formed this orchestra to provide a rich and extraordinary experience for students who otherwise might not be able to explore music on their own. Because of the generosity of contributors such as yourself, our students have experienced the opportunity of performing in the historic Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City, as well as the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C. Also, we have had the opportunity to participate in Cross Cultural Concerts and Educational Tours in Torrance, California and Honolulu, Hawaii. In addition, we have and continue to perform at numerous local and state venues. Your sponsorship of, and participation in, this event is key in continuing the realization of our mission.
