Filipino-Irish singer-songwriter Ouida blends old-school soul, alternative R&B and jazz-inflected instrumentation into a San Francisco-rooted sound. She was recently featured on Ruby Ibarra's "Bakunawa," which won NPR's 2025 Tiny Desk Contest and led to a sold-out ten-city tour. Since her 2020 debut, she has shared stages with Rufus Wainwright, Esperanza Spalding and Madison McFerrin. Ouida will give the world premiere of her San Jose Jazz-commissioned "Fiends" in her New Works Fest set. A UC Berkeley sociology graduate who studied at NYU's Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, Ouida has performed at venues including Chase Center and Yerba Buena Gardens Festival. Her music has received international airplay across Ireland's RTÉ, SPIN and Today FM, with sync placements on MTV and VH1. Her latest EP So Bitter, So Sweet is out now on all major streaming platforms.
