Mexica New Year is the oldest and largest ceremony to welcome in the Aztec New Year in the Nation. Our gathering brings together over 500 Aztec Dancers from throughout the US and Mexico, 7 Northern California Native tribes including our local Muwekma Ohlone tribe of the SF Bay Area and other Native tribes from the US and Mexico. We host over 150 arts & crafts, food, non-profit and community resources booths and expect attendance of 15,000 community members throughout the 3-day weekend. This gathering is family friendly, educational, culturally rooted, and completely free for all to attend. No alcohol nor drugs are permitted.
