The Church of the Gesu is a Philadelphia, Catholic landmark. This concert will celebrate its legacy and offer an opportunity to experience the recently-restored magnificent 1898 Hook and Hastings Organ as it resounds once more after a two-decade silence. Our concert will feature the Variant 6 vocal ensemble performing works by Palestrina, Charpentier, Pergolesi, Mozart, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Gounod, & Stanford.Organist: John Walthausen, Artistic Director of the Philadelphia Organ Festival
