About this Event
Relax and have fun in this 6-week online class that will introduce you to the basics of drawing and painting!
Each week will focus on a different theme, technique or medium and participants will be guided through a range of warm up exercises before moving on to a longer study that you can follow along step by step, with time for individual feedback. Classes will be recorded and sent to all participants so you can continue their creative journey at home!
You will be encouraged to have a playful and experimental approach to drawing and painting, exploring a range of methods and techniques and developing the one that works best for you!
Week 1: Graphite Drawing
Week 2: Charcoal Drawing
Week 3: Pen Drawing
Week 4: Oil Pastels
Week 5: Watercolour Painting
Week 6: Acrylic Painting
Materials you will need:
-Graphite Pencils (a range between HB-9B is ideal but not essential)
-Willow charcoal
-Charcoal Pencil (optional)
-Eraser
-Sharpener
-Blending Stump (optional)
-Oil Pastel set
-Watercolour paint set
-Acrylic Paint set
-Paintbrushes (one flat and 2-3 round in a range of sizes from 4-14)
-x8 sheets A4 drawing paper
-x2 sheets A4 watercolour paper
x2 sheets heavyweight cartridge paper
No experience needed!
Ages 18+
