About this Event

OmLife Birmingham Presents: Soul Sundays

Kirtan | Community | Connection

More than an event. A reset for the soul.

It’s not just kirtan.

It’s not just a talk.

It’s not just a wellness activity.

Soul Sundays are immersive, heart expanding gatherings designed to lift you, ground you, and connect you - with yourself, with others, and with something greater.

Every Soul Sunday looks a little different, but you can always expect:

🎵 Sacred sound at the centre – powerful, joyful kirtan to awaken the soul

🕯️ Soulful space – talks, rituals, or wellness workshops that offer real inspiration

🤝 Community – open-hearted connection in a space that feels like home

Sometimes there’s a sound bath, sometimes creative expression or reflection, sometimes a talk from an inspirational speaker - but always, it’s about showing up as you are and leaving more connected, inspired, and spiritually refuelled.

18.01.26 - Soul Sunday: Internal Family Systems & Bhakti Yoga

Internal Family Systems & Bhakti Yoga is a warm, contemplative, and experiential workshop that invites you into a compassionate relationship with your inner world while exploring devotion as a pathway to connection and wholeness.

Guided by Nishi and Jesal, this session blends the clarity of the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model with the heart-opening practices of Bhakti Yoga. Together, these approaches offer a gentle framework for meeting different parts of yourself with curiosity, care, and reverence—supporting both inner harmony and a deeper sense of divine connection.

Open to all, this workshop is especially welcoming for those who feel drawn to wellness, self-inquiry, and spiritual exploration. The experience is reflective and embodied, with space for guided practices, contemplation, and shared presence.

This workshop takes a coaching and educational approach. It is not psychotherapeutic and not a substitute for counselling or mental health treatment.

1.02.26 - Soul Sunday: Mapping Your Heart – A Draw Your Feelings Workshop with Rukmini Poddar

This gentle, art-based Map Your Heart workshop invites you to connect with the tender parts within you—especially if you’re feeling burned out, emotionally depleted, or carrying the weight of caregiving. Through simple art practices, we’ll draw what’s often invisible and give voice to what’s unspoken.

Together, we’ll honor our heart and all that it holds - our grief, worry, doubt, as well as our joy, and gratitude. No drawing experience needed—just an open heart and willingness to try something new.

Short Bio: Rukmini Poddar is on a mission to help the world draw their feelings. She is the author of Draw Your Feelings, published by Penguin Random House. Through workshops, retreats, and community gatherings, Rukmini offers gentle, trauma-aware creative practices that support emotional healing, self-connection, and embodied expression. She has been drawing her own feelings for over 10 years and believes what is most personal is most universal. Her work weaves together art, emotional awareness, and devotional wisdom to help people give voice to their inner world.

What You’ll Experience

This session is focused on setting intentions for the year in a way that leads to lasting transformation. You’ll explore how the subconscious mind shapes habits and recurring patterns - and why change often doesn’t stick, even with strong intentions.

Through powerful guided meditations and inner inquiry, you’ll be supported in releasing emotional blocks and aligning your intentions at a deeper level. If you’ve found yourself making the same resolutions year after year, this session invites you to discover what truly needs to shift for change to become permanent.
