Oliver Kolker is a multifaceted artist with a background in business, tango, film, and music. He is an accomplished tango dancer, screenwriter, film producer, director, and actor.
Born in New York City but raised in Argentina, Oliver Kolker discovered tango in 1997, immersing himself in Buenos Aires vibrant milonga scene. He trained with renowned masters such as Horacio Godoy, Osvaldo Zotto, and Graciela Gonzalez.
Six years later, he launched his career as a professional dancer and instructor, performing and teaching worldwide. He has participated in some of the most prestigious tango festivals and communities across Russia, the United States, France, Italy, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ukraine, and China.
Since 2006, he has been a frequent guest of the Portland Tango community, visiting over 10 times and partnering with Luna Palacios and Silvina Valz. He was one of the guest teacher at the Portland Tango festival in 2018 and the MC at the Portland tango Festival 2019.
