Join us at Citizens of Soil HQ for our first Olive Oil Masterclass of 2026.
About this Event

Starting with a welcome drink, our founder and olive oil sommelier, Sarah Vachon, will be your guide through 90 minutes of all things EVOO. We'll cover what actually makes olive oil "extra virgin", its nutritional benefits, and how to taste like a true connoisseur.

You'll sample three different extra virgin olive oils, from delicate to robust, and learn how different climates, processing methods, harvest times, and olive varieties all play into the final flavour profile.

We'll also pair the oils with two snacks—savoury and sweet—to show you just how versatile EVOO can be, hoping to inspire you to pour it even more generously over everything!

Sarah will share real talk on the olive oil industry: how prices are set, how independent, regenerative producers are competing against a commodity market, and how they are adapting to our changing climate. Plus, you’ll find out what oil profiles to expect on shelves in 2026 and what’s coming through your letterbox this year for those in the Olive Oil Club™.

There'll be time for a Q&A too, so bring all your burning olive oil questions—no matter how obscure.

Tickets are £15 for Club members and £25 for non-members, and include:

  • A welcome drink on arrival (non-alcoholic available)
  • A tasting of three extra virgin olive oils
  • EVOO snacks & bread
