Join the Carolinas LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce for an intentional, fast-paced speed networking event designed to help you maximize your connections! If you are looking to expand your Charlotte network without the awkward small talk, this is the event for you. Let's make this quick and impactful!
How It Works
• The Setup: When you arrive and sign in, you will be placed at a specific table with a number to start the rotation.
• The Clock: The structured speed networking will last for about an hour and 15 to 20 minutes.
• The Pitch: You will spend about 3 minutes with each person, giving each of you roughly 90 seconds to share who you are and what you do.
Choose Your Own Adventure: The speed networking portion is completely optional. If you prefer to just sit at a table and hang out, you are more than welcome to do so! The rest of the event time is open for you to connect organically.
How to Prepare
• Bring Business Cards: You will be meeting a lot of people, so bring plenty of cards to set up follow-up conversations later.
• Prep Your Pitch: Have your top 5 bullet points or notes ready to go.
• Practice: You might be giving your introduction several times, so practice in front of a mirror or a friend beforehand.
• Save the Pints for Later: We recommend waiting to get your beer until after the speed networking finishes so your voice doesn't get dry!
