Toronto-based creative label L’Uomo Strano explores the intersection of fashion, identity, and social futurity through sculptural garments, experimental textiles, and radical self-expression. Known for pushing beyond traditional runway formats, the brand creates emotionally charged worlds where fashion becomes art, performance, and cultural dialogue.

Fashion Art Toronto launches Fashion Week by transforming one of Toronto’s most iconic fashion landmarks into a one-day cultural fashion takeover.

10 AM–10 PM | 3rd Floor, Former Saks Fifth Avenue
Free and open to the public
The former Saks designer floor becomes an all-day Canadian showroom featuring independent brands, emerging designers, and leading fashion organizations. Guests are invited to shop, explore exhibitions, experience installations, discover archive pulls and rental pieces, and move through immersive storytelling environments.
Participating organizations include Style Canada, Indigenous Fashion Arts, Black Designers of Canada, TMU, and more.
Throughout the day, media, stylists, tastemakers, and Toronto’s creative community will move through the space, making this one of the city’s most exciting fashion networking moments.

Showtime: 8:30 PM

As night falls, the historic Hudson’s Bay floor transforms into a runway stage for featured presentations by L’Uomo Strano and Charles Lu.
Please note: access to the daytime shopping and cultural marketplace is free, but the evening runway show requires a separate ticket purchase.
The 3rd floor showroom remains open throughout the evening for shopping, networking, and community gathering.
This is a rare opportunity to experience the full strength of Canada’s fashion community under one roof, inside one of Toronto’s most meaningful fashion spaces.

Running May 25–31, 2026, Fashion Art Toronto brings together 50+ designers, artists, and brands through a city-wide program of runway shows, immersive offsite experiences, exhibitions, retail marketplaces, and free public activations.
This season launches the theme Toronto, Show Yourself — a bold call for visibility, confidence, and pride across the city’s fashion community.
