Oakland Stand Up: Rockridge Comedy Showcase

From the curators of Comedy Night at The Layover Music Bar & Lounge comes a showcase featuring the best Bay Area–bred comedians—plus visiting headliners from LA and New York, home for the holidays.

Come to Rockridge for Stand Up in the backroom of an Irish pub founded the day Prohibition ended. Sit in a piece of Oakland history, grab a pint or a shot, and settle in for laughs and libations. Only six blocks from the Rockridge BART Station.

Info: Grab a drink and head to the back. Seating is first-come, first-served, so get there early to snag a good spot.

Info: A stand-up show with a mix of touring vets working out new material and local up-and-comers bringing their best. And hey—bring some money that folds for the tip jar. Comics can’t wrap jokes and put them under the tree.
