Learn to Knit!About this Event
Not sure how to stay active when the sun sets at 4:00? Give your fingers a workout with our intro to knitting class!
In this beginner friendly class students will learn the basics of knitting, including how to cast on (start), cast off (finish), how to choose yarn, and how to knit and purl. With just these few techniques, students will leave with enough skills and confidence to make scarves, hats, hand warmers, even sweaters! Children 10 years old and up are welcome with a paying accompanying adult.
Instructor Cirrus Wood is a self-taught artisan who enjoys coming up with and learning new techniques to make clothing more visually appealing and more durable. He runs the mending and tailoring business Dollars & Yen which came about after years of casually combining elements of both Japanese and American design in his own wardrobe.
